Words and
Pictures Clarify New Service Offering, Bring Sales
Good writers aim to provide the best overall communication solution —
which, for this client, included pictures as well as words.
Background
Strictly Accounting CPA, an accounting firm serving medium-sized to
large businesses, had formed a subsidiary named Bill Pay USA. Its goal
was to assist its customers' accounts payable staff by managing their
bill payments.
Challenge
The client wanted to promote the new service via their web site, and
asked Access Consulting to write copy for the site.
Solution
We decided to use graphics as much as words to explain the bill pay
system. The graphics would:
• Add visual interest
• Catch the user's attention
• Aid in quick understanding
• Reduce the amount of text
• Improve "scannability"
Access Consulting wrote the copy and suggested illustrations. The
resulting web site clearly and succinctly described the service and its
benefits.
Results
With the help of the web site, the client quickly signed up customers
for the new service offering.
Praising our work, the client said, "Your services provided a certain
sense of clarity and professionalism that will add value to my company
identity."
